Tuesday night tired

What a day! Work never let up at all. I had to post a huge check from Medicaid manually (I don't know why -- they usually post electronically), Anyway, it's 19 pages of VERY tightly spaced entries. I literally didn't stand up from about 10AM until I left at 5PM, and my lunch break lasted about six minutes. Funny, last night Arthur chewed me out for how poorly I take care of myself! But that stupid check ain't gonna post itself. And meanwhile I have another one of equal size that I have to post tomorrow.

Meantime, our client is unhappy with the returns we're getting, so it's panic time in the office. This means my boss will be even touchier than usual. However, the upside is that I've been offered a LOT of overtime to help catch up. Yes, I'm exhausted, but I sorely need all the money I can get so I'll take it. A minute or two on the "good list" wouldn't hurt, either.

Watching Chopped and trying to unkink the shoulders.

CJ Has some great suggestions to keep the blood circulating and the stress reduced. Hopefully things will calm down very soon.

I know you are driven to do a good,no an excellent job. You can stay at your desk and still be active. Set an alarm somehow and every 30 minutes, simply stand up, deep breath, raise your arms above your head, exhale as you bring your arms down. Do this two more times. Sit back down and turn you head side to side and then turn it in a slow circle one direction and then the other. Shrug your shoulders up and down 3-5 times and then make 3 circles forward and three back with your shoulders. Take another deep breath... in to the count of 2, hold for the count of 1 and exhale to the count of 4. Then get back to work.

Hope things calm down at work. The overtime can be a good thing if you need the cash, but take care of yourself.

I'll bet watching the finale of the chopped champions was a great way for you to relax. Quite the ending, wasn't it?

I know the money from the OT is sorely needed, but don't forget to take care of yourself, too. You deserve as much care as those checks!

Remember, too much OT actually decreases your take home as taxes increase!

Keep your head up. That's awesome on the money from the overtime though.

I'm watching Chopped, too. Don't neglect yourself with all the overtime, although I remember those days well where I sure didn't practice what I'm preaching! Take care and try to at least give your body a stretching break every now and then.
