Getting help with my nutrition.

So I've been struggling with the food for a while now. It actually all started when I started triathlon training hard last summer. I would eat as I had been then get light head then I'd eat too much. It became a vicious circle. I no longer could lose any weight and seamed to gain some instead.

As triathlon training is back in full force I once again am having a hard time balancing it all out. Eating for a endurance athlete is different from others. There is a fine since to it all. I've looked it up and read all about it. I can understand what they are saying however I can't put x,y,z into a meal plan for a day, let alone a week or a month.

So with my tri team I belong to I have access to a guy who knows all abut this stuff and can help me figure out my meal plan. We get it for a discounted price of $75.00. I think that's a bargain. So I've signed up for that. I have to track everything I eat for the next 10 days. The good the bad the ugly. So he can see the pattern and help me figure it out.

I hate tracking my food! I hate it the most. That's why I want this guy to tell me to eat X,Y,Z.. so I don't have to think about it. Well I understand so I will be tracking my food for the next 10 days. I can do that. I eat almost the same thing all the time anyways.

I meet with him the end of the month to come up with my nutrition plan. I'm excited about that.

Today I did my first long run out side. It wasn't pretty or easy. I do my own style of run/walk. It's what has always worked for me. I was slow at it. My legs feel heavy. Cardio felt good! I got 7 miles done, with 1/2 of it being on my hill. Got to get ready for the shamrock run in a month!

    I think nutrition is the key for so many of us. I hope he helps you figure it out so you're well fueled and ready to rock!

    Good luck! Tracking is a pain but it leads to knowledge and knowledge is power!

    I don't know, but I'd assume fueling for tris and tri-training could be rather complicated. Then add weight loss to the mix and it seems really complicated.

    I think the help sounds awesome and I hope you'll share what you learn!

    Good luck! I hate tracking too, I find it easier to plan one day for the week, and just repeat that for the rest of the week so I don't have to think about it.
