What is it about making noticeable strides in this journey known as nutritious eating habits that makes the body crave the old?
I have lost enough weight and made such progress overall that I receive 2-3 compliments a week. Still there are days like today where chocolate chip cookies and fresh baked applie pie call out my name. The funny thing is I don't eat a lot of sweets. I'm not particularly fond of them in fact.
However, that is exactly what I craved today. I ignored the call of the cookie and had a Kashi granola bar for my mid-afternoon snack. Still craving the sweet stuff at quitting time, I head for the gym.
A full hour and solid workout later I am headed home. No longer craving the cookie or pie but instead looking forward to the light and healthy supper that awaited me when I got home.
I don't always win the battle of the cravings but today I beat the cookie!
