During our class we work with a partner. The person I usually work out with Monday, Friday and Saturday is awesome! She and I are on the same page with many aspects of the program we participate in and use the same weights. We often go heavier on many exercises and then switch so the other can use the heavier weight too. We just mesh really well together. It is a rarity for me to find someone who works as hard as I do and much as I do....and not think I am a psycho:)
Today the girl I worked with was someone who I have worked out with before. She is not my first choice but when there are people I am not familiar with at all, I chose to work with her since I knew who she was. She often comments on the weight I am using. She often gives me advice that I don't want. She is not a trainer. She goes to the gym less often than I do and uses lighter weights, takes more breaks, and complains about everything.
Tonight was the breaking point. She actually screamed at me (louder than the music-which blares) that she was right about a particular exercise. The trainer came over to clarify and then I hear her scream at me "I told you!" I was like really, what are you 12? Needless to say that put an end to my even trying to enjoy the workout. I just wanted to kill it and go home...and I did:) She was the fuel I needed to push myself even more:) I will not be working out with her any longer. I don't need someone like that around me when I only have a short amount of time to get my workout done.
I also got the pups out after school before heading to the gym. It was so nice out, I could not waste a day!
