It's About to Be Over!

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Hi Spark Friends!
After almost 5 months off work, I've finally passed my work eval test at physical therapy. I see the Doc on Valentine's day, and I expect him to give me an updated work status that allows me to go back to work. A bit nervous about being able to perform after being gone so long, but the financial nightmare will be over in a couple of months!!!! Thank God in His mercy! I am applying for Social Security, and with that and the tax refund I'll be getting this year, I'm looking forward to getting caught up on all the past due bills and getting out of debt so I can afford to retire by the time I'm 70!!! I've been told I will never be pain free, so just have to live with it. Oh Well. So beit. Happy Valentine's Day, all. Thanks friends, for being here. Love and Hugs, B

Congrats on being able to be back to work soon. Too bad your time off couldn't be more relaxing, though. It will be good to be back in the old routine.

That's good news that you may be going back to work. At our age, we will never be pain free, but maybe the pain will not be as bad.
Good luck, and prayers are with you.
Kay

Glad to hear you are making great strides! I think when we get as old as we are, according to the doctors, pain is expected to be a constant companion. I will say that I retired (thanx to SS) when I was 70. It's been just a couple months beyond a year of retirement and I'm finding that I'm having less and less pain... I assume just from being retired, having a lot less stress, exercising, eating better in less rushed situations, and just generally taking better care of myself. Retirement and relaxing into it (not that easy) has done wonders for my health and reduced pain level...

Thanx to SparkPeople and the encouragement here, I am healthier and have a lot less pain... don't believe everything the doctors say!

You will be able to perform at your best and will do well when you go back to work... I have complete faith in your ability!!!
