New Beginnings

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Today is a new beginning for me. For quite a while now I have been tracking my food without making any attempt to stay within my calorie limits whatsoever. Today is a new beginning for me in that today I decided to stay within my calorie range and follow some basic guidelines that help me in making healthy food choices. It has felt different. I am proud of myself for following my guidelines and staying within my calorie limits for the day. emoticon

That's how I discovered where I was going wrong. When I first starting using the tracker, I put in my regular diet and found I was eating way too much at each meal and my butter and cheese habit was adding alot of fat calories! I actually like toast and peanut butter now without the extra butter! I didn't think that would ever happen.

Great idea! Like Cathwren said, "Getting to know your regular habits before trying to change them helps"--you can see where you are prone to making your mistakes, and can recognize the patterns which you need to alter.

Good luck along the way!

    I'm proud of you too.

I think you've done this the right way -- Getting to know your regular habits before trying to change them helps ensure success. Good luck with staying on your new healthy path.
