Life is getting better.

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

I saw my surgeon today and he is pleased with my recovery. He still doesn't want me to work for another month. He wants me to see an Oncologist. When I got home, my phone was ringing and it was my surgeons secretary telling me I have an appointment with an Oncologist tomorrow. (they sure don't waste any time). The haematoma under my arm from the surgery has gone down some but I still have to sleep with the heating pad for a while.
The best news is that I can start gradually increasing my activity at the gym. It will take me 2-3 weeks to get back where I was but I am in no hurry.
Like my surgeon says, "Getting to the gym is half the battle".
I will be glad when I can sleep back in bed again as I've been sleeping on a recliner since I got home.
Took the dog for a walk up the street today as the woods are still to deep with snow for her. I don't know when I have slept so much. I am up at 4 AM, 2 naps during the day ans I'm in bed by 6:30PM for the night. Doctor said don't worry about it as my body needs time to heal and that is one way of doing it.

Glad to hear that you are back!!! On my way to my oncologist in about 30 minutes. Since this is an unscheduled appointment and he got the last CT scan I am a bit nervous! I am with you, my oncologist called yesterday and on my way to DR today!

Don't overdo but I know how it feels to want to be active so I can fully understand!!!
