Just because we're overweight doesn't mean we're animals

I heard something that really upset me, Rex Reed the movie critic calling Melissa McCarthy a hippo in her recent movie Identity Thief and saying she is tractor size. You know I'm really sick of people thinking just cause a woman has weight on that she holds no value in life. I'm sick of the way they promote these size 0 girls who look so unhealthy a girl with curves looks healthier.
I mean if the man criticized her acting that's one thing but to criticize her cause of her weight that's another! This woman is beautiful and funny, just because she has weight on doesn't mean her feelings can't be hurt.
Even Kate Upton who is on the cover of Sports Illustrated is being called fat, c'mon now? She's a beautiful healthy looking young lady with curves and real breasts.
Just because we have some weight on us doesn't mean we should be referred to as tractor size or animal size (hippo), I'm just so disgusted with the way society see's women if your not throwing up to stay thin and have that gaunt look your overweight.
I have always found that most women that have weight on them are nicer, friendlier, funnier women then those who are a size two or size zero.
Maybe it's cause our stomachs aren't always growling and we're happier in general and because the thinner ones are afraid if they gain a little weight they won't be liked. I'd rather have more value from the inside then on the outside and just be a shell....
