tired of everything

I have to admit, I don't want to be here (as in, on Sparkpeople) right now. But I've got to get back into the routine of tracking, or my weight will start creeping up. So here I am.

Mostly I'm just bored with a lot of my life at the moment. The only things I do that excite me are reading (yes, really-- finally getting back into the reading habit I had in my pre-Internet days!) and my new website/rebranded online store. Well, and seeing my boyfriend of course :) But I'm tired of following the same routine with everything... eating the same meals from/at home, going to the same restaurants when we go out, going to work... watching the same stuff on TV. I guess this is a signal I need to shake things up... after all, I can't blame anyone but myself for doing the same thing over and over :P

I do have a two-night beach trip planned for my spring break, but that's a month away. That graduate assistant recruitment day is coming up on March 1... my mom's family lives in the city where that is, so maybe I can see them... and think of some other fun stuff to do while I'm up there. But in the meantime, I need to figure out how to make my daily life more exciting.

For Lent, I'm not giving up any foods... but I'm giving up some "laze around on my butt" time by trying to get some kind of exercise EVERY DAY. That doesn't mean gym every day, but at least SOMETHING every day. Gym three days a week, bike riding or jump roping (er, jumping rope is probably more grammatical) or dog walking or SOMETHING the other four. This will start tomorrow.

Um, what else... yeah, been reading a lot. I finished my GA job application and sent it off. Got all of my online "stores" rebranded under "The Lofty Balloon" and am caught up on commissions for the moment. While I'm waiting on more commissions, I have some other crafts to work on... designing a plushie hot air balloon to sell in my shop, making some jewelry, etc. Got my home office/tv room cleaned out and packed what I could... so it's ready for the move. On to the craft closet... aka the abyss... Time to use up or dump craft supplies so I don't have to move them.

I've got a doctor's appointment in an hour with my regular doctor. Finally going to get my prescriptions straightened out and see if I can get off of anything. Also going to ask him about my thumb and if I need to do anything for my "undeveloped frontal sinuses." Dinner with the bf tonight. I guess we'll go to the Mexican place... delicious but part of our normal routine. It's grey and rainy today (and yesterday, and the day before), so I'm not in the mood to shake things up yet XD I'll get the grilled chicken salad, which is really healthy.

I guess that's it. Have some balloons.

    Thanks for the balloons.
It sounds like you know what to do, shaking things up and such, but it is sometimes so hard to get going with the shaking. I know you can do it : )
