Day 9: From Homesick to Home, Sick

Well, I'm back from Florida. It may be cold here, but I am relieved to be back. My mom's company was becoming very stressful and bottling it all up was taking its toll on me.
Yesterday I went to Universal Studios by myself for a little me time. I logged lots of activity walking over 20000 steps throughout the day. I didn't eat super great, but I'm sure it balanced out.
Unfortunately, with the stress of the trip and the solid lack of sleep throughout, I am super sick. I plan on taking it easy today, eating some soup and doing some homework. I'm hoping that after a good night's sleep tonight I'll be ready to go volunteer at the museum tomorrow and then hit up the gym Thursday.
I really need to get a jump on my homework because I will be traveling next week also. Ken is taking me to Arizona to see one of my favorite comedians. Then we are going to travel a bit of Route 66 and see Albuquerque.
I'm actually going to be busy with travel a lot this spring, which is great, but involves juggling a fair bit of school work as well as focusing on my health goals.
Speaking of which, I've done very well with the "no beer" goal. I haven't had any at all!
As far as the "no sugary crap", I've also done well. I only tried a few pieces of Harry Potter candy yesterday. And I took my mom out for a fancy dinner the other night and had a five star dessert, but I wouldn't count that as crap for sure!
I'm going to stay strong on these goals and try to increase my water intake this week. Next week when we get back from the SW I'm going to make time to add another goal, likely fitness related.
