So a lot has been going on and I have been really stressed. But I am ready to get back into the swing of things.

Let God handle the things you can't, and do the best with the things you can -- your healthy eating and exercise. And God will be with you in that as well.

I use to eat when feeling stressed but I replaced that with exercise. A brisk walk also feels so much better than food does for stress. It exerts a lot of energy that makes you feel better and all fastening and unhealthy foods like cookies or cake just has us craving more and the stress is still there.

The good thing about aging is that the little things that use to bother you no longer bothers you and you feel less stress in your life.

I wish you the best of luck on this journey. I'm rooting for you and your wife. You seem like such nice people and I hope you live a long healthy life together.

Always remember stress is part of life and will always come and go. The secret is to not let it become an excuse to eat. I am preaching to the choir right now, because I am eating out of stress. That being said, I know it can be done. When we lost my mother-in-law, dad, and father-in-law all within 13 months, I didn't gain anything. I had my act together. It wasn't until I let my guard down and let the stress win, that I started gaining again. I have lost 20 of it and this last 10 pounds is a killer, but it can be done. Stay strong! emoticon
