Triglycerides what to do?

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Finally HDL and LDL are in good shape. However, Doc says triglycerides are still too high. Still on Cholesteral meds. How do I lower the triglycerides? I don't know? And Doc says just keep taking meds and follow current diet.

Any ideas?

I found that cutting out sugar lowered my triglycerides a lot. Also, exercise, exercise and more exercise. I really am concerned about the meds the doctor ordered for me and want to get off the ASAP!

Be strong. Keep working out as much as you can, making good choices for your meals as much as possible. I'm not sure but I think that there are teams for those of us who have high cholesterol and associated heart issues. Perhaps you could look into one of those teams for better support. Mine was really high. I forget the range but as I lost weight the numbers dropped...a lot. last checkup for me was in range with meds. I would really like to get off meds so, I gotta keep working. emoticon emoticon

Hang in there, keep up a routine of eating healthy and regular workouts and it will get better, mine did and I no longer need medication.
