Little steps big energy

Doing great and loving how things are going! Little by little adding more and more veggies to meals and have done wonderful with drinking water. Didn't get any exercise in really yesterday unless you count climbing the stairs at the doctors office, but did great with my eating. Made a chicken veggie rice mix in the crock pot that was a big hit with the family last night and none of them realized they were eating purad broccoli and carrots in it. This weekend got the whole family to go on a mile walk around the trail down the street from the house and it felt amazing. The kids loved it and want to do the walking with me so have my little motivators to cheer me on. My boyfriend swore I was trying to kill him and said he wasn't gonna do it again. But I felt so wonderful after the walk and so proud of myself. I had great energy and just thouroghly enjoyed myself. Sunday spent the day doing housework but added some squats into the mix and dancing with the kids and took laps in the house due to the rain. Had so much more energy. Yesterday I really felt the effects of not getting exercise because by 3 in the afternoon I had no energy and fell asleep. When I woke up around 5 last night I just felt sluggish so gotta get some exercise everyday. Today when the kids get out of school we are heading back to the trail to walk before the weather turns yucky again tomorrow. Then are gonna work in the basement to see about putting together a home workout center. Am really looking forward to the walk. And the time with the kids.

    The key to sticking with exercise is FUN! I'm so glad to hear that your kids and you are enjoying yourselves and the family time it gives you. You're SO on the right track! And think of how it will affect them as they grow up - they'll be healthier for it, all b/c of YOU.

emoticon This is for you. Seriously, that is awesome.
Isn't it remarkable how different we feel when we get our exercise? You expect to feel more energy but it's the complete opposite. I love how involved your kids are getting. You could make your downstairs room into circuit training stations and make a game out of it with the kids. Do as many reps as you can at each station for 60 seconds then run to the next one.
You rock girl. Keep up the great work!
