Not that anyone likes it, but I really can't be sick right now!
In the middle of packing up my house to move and not like my husband is good at heading up the organizing! (grumble grumble, can you tell I'm cranky?) I really need to fight this, luckily it's not the flu, it's just the lovely head cold that makes your head feel like it is filled with junk and your sinuses are the size of a van. I wake up with a sore throat each morning and to top it off...I haven't been able to sleep! I'm sure it's the nerves of trying to get everything ready to move, watching money veeeeeeery carefully and the worry about the new place. Will we be able to afford it? (we can, but we're not terribly good at money, so will we blow money meant for rent?) Will the neighborhood be a good place for my son? Will our neighbors be horrible people and we'll regret living there? Ugh! I am never good at making choices, I always make the wrong one...or it always feels that way. I think that's what's keeping me up nights. So tonight I think I'll take some Tylenol PM and hopefully pass out shortly after Dance Moms (supersize episode tonight!)
Back to my weight, well I'm not doing as well as I want. Got some McDonald's this morning even though for my lunches I did get some Healthy Choice meals and had one for lunch yesterday and then after I got my hair done (I'll add some pics here soon, got highlights and bangs!) and for dinner had a sandwich with turkey and roast beef and a big salad with cucumber, tomatoes and red onion, so that wasn't too bad. Today's lunch will be a Healthy Choice meal and then for dinner...not really sure yet. Got some dishes to pack, homework to help with and then showering up the kid so busy night.
I did hear a great phrase that I'm definitely going to use a lot...You can't out exercise a bad diet. And that's so true. I grew up a fairly athletic kid. I was chunky, but I was athletic. Played fastpitch softball, volleyball, basketball and then tennis. I never had a problem with sports, I was lucky enough to have good hand-eye coordination. Even now at the weight I'm at I can still play a mean match of volleyball
and I love it! But I've always believed this and I think its true, if your diet is crap all the working out is basically for nothing. Oh it's good for the heart and lungs and muscle etc...so its not for nothing, but as far as weight loss goes, it's just putting roadblocks in front of roadblocks and you're going nowhere. Once I get my eating under control...and its going to end up being easier to do once I get into the new house with a decent kitchen...then I can focus on the actual fitness.
Sorry this one was all over the place, but let me reiterate..I hate being sick!
