Polar Bear Season

Good morning everyone!

I am currently 5lbs down! Can I get a happy dance? I've stayed at 211lbs this previous week and I'm ok with that. I didn't gain. :D

I managed to go to the gym once this past week. I succeeded in acquiring blisters the size of Texas. Multiple blisters. I will be stopping to buy myself some gel inserts and I'll be wearing two pairs of socks. It was something I was completely unprepared for. On a daily basis I walk about 2 to 3 miles just to get through my day. I'm in a city and errands need to be run. However, at the gym.. I power walked 1.7 miles and crippled myself. It just doesn't add up in my brain. However- it will not stop me! I have softball to prepare for!

This week is Valentine's Day. Such a silly holiday. No I am not a bitter resentful single fat girl. LOL! I am in a very productive and lovely relationship for almost two years. I find the holiday silly because its silly. Romance is year round. Not for one day. Love is forever. Not for one day. You wasting money on some flowers and chocolates for one day in hopes you might get lucky that night is inconsequential because if you're doing things right... you're getting lucky anyway. My celebration will be going to see the open of A Good Day to Die Hard. :D William told me I'm the best girlfriend ever. Helps that I don't like chocolate.

However, this weekend we will be making a trip to the Baltimore Zoo to see the POLAR BEARS. I'm beyond excited to see my favorite animal. They also have baby lemurs out!

I hope everyone is holding onto their goals! I'm proud of my several week streak of sticking with my life changes. They've become habits. We are still cooking and making meals at home. If we do go out, I've been making sure we go somewhere with a health options menu. I have not had soda, or Monster. I haven't had fast food. ... ok maybe once I had Taco Bell... but that was a really stressful day and I just wanted a burrito. Lol. However, once over the last 6 or so weeks is something I'm proud to say. Logging into my spark page everyday has also helped because it reminds that I have goals I'm sticking to. It gets me excited to share new things and to share my experiences.

I hope everyone has a lovely week and if you are celebrating V-day then I hope all your plans go as hoped or better!

I think Valentine's Day is silly as well. I've been married to my husband for five years now, together for seven. I told him from the beginning, do NOT buy me a dozen roses! They are so commercialized, not romantic to me at all. He buys me something every year, but he also buys me sweet gifts throughout the year. But I have always refused to accept roses and chocolate. I may have to take him to see that movie! Sounds good! We can always use an excuse to go to the movies!
