I've been going to the "gym" on and off for the last couple of weeks. I haven't been consistent because I hate getting up so early and would rather spend time with my kids in the evening. But when I go, I felt like I worked out fairly well. I did a weight circuit and then 10 minutes of cardio. The weights were set up by a friend my ours that is a personal trainer. Well.....she went to the "gym" with me yesterday. Apparently I haven't been working myself hard enough on the weights or the treadmill. She immediately noticed that I was not lifting enough weight. And the 12 reps she originally gave me were not enough so we increased them. Oh! And let's add three new machines to work muscles that already hated me for the treadmill. Speaking of the treadmill, don't just walk at 3.5 with a 2 degree incline. Hit that random button. Ha! Bet you feel that now. I did. And it felt great. I need to remember to take a notebook with my tomorrow so I can keep better track of the weights I'm lifting. By the time I get home I've usually forgotten and use the wrong weights next time. But I like having my own personal torturer when I'm working out. She keeps me in line.
