Workout yesterday - COMPLETED MY GOALS FOR THE DAY!!!
Gym - 60 minutes treadmill; 35 second plank (boy oh boy); 50 squats and stretching
Today: Wogging 30 minutes and walking; weights; 35 second plank and 55 squats
My plan is to stop by the college and do my wogging on their track. Hopefully there won't be a problem with parking. If so, then I'll go to another park down the street.
Did my squats yesterday in a 25, 10, 15 increments after the gym. Knees are feeling better. Although they do still creek just a little when I squat I guess they're finally waking up. The gym was soooooo crowded yesterday that I was like geeezzzz where is everyone the rest of the week. It's like that Monday, I'm starting craze. By Wednesday it's thin. I guess that's why a lot of folks I use to see when I went are just coming in when I'm leaving. Anywhooooo... my eating went well yesterday as well. I didn't cook but ate some crab n shrimp salad I got from a friend with some crackers. I really wasn't hungry so I ate just enough to satisfy me.
Since I needed some sleep I was in bed by 9:25 but couldn't fall asleep even after taking some benadryl. My allergies were wreaking havoc on me when I was coming home from the gym. But I did finally get to sleep after 11:00.
Today, I'm feeling a little sleepy. A bit excited about my wogging tonight. I brought a new pair of sneakers. I had originally brought 2 pair back in June. One was Asics gel black which I love. The other pair was Nike. Same size and everything but the Nike's hurt my toes for some reason. When I wear them for a while my toesies start to hurt and I find myself trying to push my foot back. I brought them a 1/2 size bigger but this shoe isn't working for me. So I replaced that with another pair of Asics running shoe. My black ones are crosstrainers. I wear my sneakers to work everyday as I'm a communter and heels just don't work at my age (at least for me). I can get cute when I get to work. So i look forward to trying out my new sneakers on the ground running. I would love to make running/jogging a regular part of my workouts. I recently read a blog where a young lady said she gave her friend all the excuses she could think of as to why she couldn't run. He retaliated with all the pros to her cons. She finally gave it a try and was happy she did. She now runs daily and have made it up to running 2-3 miles without stopping. She was a fluffy girl that has lost weight with the help of running/jogging as she refers to it. It's taken her almost a year but she's looking forward to her first 5k now. So I won't make anymore excuses as to why I can't but get out there and try. If I try and it doesn't work for me then I can push it aside. However, I will make it work for me with perseverence.
Just had a thought, the college has stairs/bleachers by the track....ooo it might be doable to add that in...hmmm
