My New Workout, and My Spring Goal

Today is day 46 of my current streak of being on track with eating and exercise!

On Saturday, I blogged about my Valentines Day gift from hubby, which was a new workout! Its a kettle bell workout for beginners and it came with a DVD which has 4 workouts on it, plus two kettle bells...3 lbs and 5 lbs. This is the workout I got;

So far, I am really loving this workout! Since Saturday (when I first started working out with it) I have done all the workouts at least once. The 4 workouts are; Upper Body, Buns & Thighs, Core, and Fat Burning. My favorite workouts are the Upper Body and Fat Burning. They really get my heart rate up and make me sweat!

I really think this is a good workout to get me introduced to kettle bell workouts. I can tell already that I will want to stick with this. Its actually a fun way to exercise. I do two workouts at a time, and even though that is almost 40 minutes, the time sure does fly!



By the way...there are 35 days until Spring! Why not set a goal for yourself to reach by then? Its always fun to have something to aim for! My own goal for Spring is to be able to fit into my "Curves Chick" t shirt. I don't go to Curves anymore so I guess I'm not a Curves Chick...but its a cute t shirt and I want to be able to wear it! I've had it ever since I won it in a drawing back in 2007, when I was a Curves member. Its been hanging in the closet all that time, because it was always too small for me and I was too stubborn to give it away! (Its my favorite color, after all!)

So now that shirt is hanging on the front of the closet door instead of hiding inside. I see it every day and it keeps me motivated. I'm really hoping to be able to wear it by the first day of Spring. Wish me luck! I'm working hard for that!




My personal theme for the month is to be my own Valentine. That means that I will love myself enough to appreciate my body, to be as healthy as I possibly can be, and to never forget that I am worth my best effort every day! As my Sparkfriend Annasgoals says..."Be fierce!" And I am going to be fierce about loving myself...not just in February, but all year long.
