I feel marvelous today! I walked the dog 7.8 miles today, despite the unsettled weather. I also went to the gym and ran 4.9 miles, pedaled 9.8 miles and did ST on the machines. Then I came home (had a protein shake), did a 20 minute ST video, and some body weight exercises, plus 105 jumping jacks (all at once). All those lovely endorphins running through my body are partying tonight!
Wednesday, when I go to the gym to run, is the last day of my 5k running training program. It has taken me closer to 6 weeks, but I feel pretty solid now. My pulled groin muscle is all better, and I feel pretty healthy. I have decided to keep pushing forward with the running, and up my mileage. If I can run 5k, then there is no reason I can't run 10k. Right?! I am also pedaling before my run, with the thought that even if my swimming isn't up to par for a triathlon, then at least I can do a duathlon. (I really do need to get back to the pool though. Just have to find some motivation to walk there... at night... by myself... in the snow... agh!)
I plan on taking it a little easier tomorrow. I walk with my niece and her friend (and the dog) in the morning, so that is a little over 5 miles. But I think I will keep both of the dog's other walks fairly short. We will see if I can restrain myself, especially after feeling so good from working out today. Now I feel like getting my groove on and doing some dancing. Move it, move it!
