Water can make me swell as well as my allergies. Some foods aggravate my body. Muscle can make an area larger as well as doing some of them wrong, such as sit ups. There are so many things that can interfere with our progress that is out of our hands. I understand that is can be frustrating but somehow we much move on. Hopefully next time the measurements will be lower as you would expect them to be.

My guess is you measured in slightly different spots each week. It's easy to put the tape higher or lower and mess up the measurement.

Don't panic! First of all, I'm not sure if weekly measurements are the best idea. Secondly, if you are anything like me - the measuring is with a a roll out measuring tape and probably not all that accurate. I have had some weeks where I gained weight but after another week or so it drops back down. Is it PMS time? That can have you retaining water like crazy! Have you been exercising more? I sometimes hit a slowdown with weight loss if I increase my exercise or go from not regularly exercising to working out a lot.

Keep hanging in there and try not to get discouraged. I know it's hard but you are doing well. Results can be wonky but you are already doing better than if you went back to old habits. emoticon

Have you checked your sodium intake? Sounds like you might be retaining water? Any chance it's hormonal?
