Update on my Saga

Monday, February 11, 2013

It has been three weeks of having a constant headache.
Have been to the ER; a walk in clinic; called my doctor's office five days in a row with no return call and saw a new doctor today.

Still no answers an no relief.
The nausea from pain really stinks.
Sleep is disturbed by the pain.

Trying different medications prescribed today.

I am an upbeat person most of the time but this situation has made me a cranky grump.
Grateful my friends understand.

Please send magic remedies my way.
Anyone know of a good exorcist?

The suggestions provided by SparkFriends are fantastic. You are in my prayers. Before I went to an allergist I endured sinus congestion headaches. I actually thought I had a brain tumor. The ER fortunately referred me to an allergist. At the age of 24 I had my tonsils removed and began allergy shots. I think seeking the right doctor is so important. You deserve to find the right medical professional to help you. I am praying for you to get well. God works in mysterious ways and He has a great plan for your life. emoticon

This is so hard to deal with! I feel for you! Had a migraine on and off for 2 months when I became perimenopausal. Wish I had a secret remedy for you. Prayers are all I have. You are in mine daily.

I am sure there has been a food history taken, sometimes new food intolerances can cause those symptoms.
A CT Like New-Caz suggested
Physical therapy to adjust your back, perhaps you have some
nerve trouble in your back that can affect your jaws and give you horrible symptoms.
The problem with a headache is there could be really a 1,000 reasons to cause it.
Try playing detective in your own life, even more so than you have...
chemical cleaners, new spices, different brands of normal meds, any changes in you life and surroundings that happened around these headaches started.
I hope you and a doctor find the solution and are able to find the right treatment to bring you relief.
Pain is incredibly stressful and exhausting so be kind to yourself and take the time to rest.

I think your new doctor needs to get you a CT scan at the very least.
Just one other thought..........have you had your eyes checked recently? It's suprising what eye strain or the wrong glasses can do!

I had what the doctor thought were migraines at one point, went to a neurologist, ENT, had a CT scan...the works, and nothing helped. Then the ENT sent me to an allergist. Turned out I was allergic to about 40 things, so if 1 thing wasn't in season, another was, and it was just a vicious cycle.

Hope you get some relief soon. Praying for you. emoticon

I hope you find relief soon. I know what it is to have pain and have no answers. I went from sept 2010 until Jan 2012 until a doctor, out of many, finally took a two hour intake and diagnosed me. I still have pain, but now pain meds work. I can walk some now and sit some now.

I find it best to bring someone with you in case the doctors try to tell you its not real, you have backup to help explain that you are feeling so badly that your demeanor and bloodpressure are changing. Remember, it is your body and there is no one out there who knows it like you do. Perservere as long as you can. It can be super hard but get someone on your side to help advocate.

Best of luck in resolving your health problems!

I like the "alternative therapies" suggested here. When Western medicine fails, often Eastern medicine can provide solutions, even if the reasons are sometimes a little odd or hard to understand.

Possible allergies? Lots of mold out there. I suggest acupuncture or a deep sinus massage by a chiropractor. Clears me out and the migraine goes away.

I am SO SORRY for you, having to deal with this. I hope there is some sort of answer right away that will both tell you what is going on AND get rid of the pain. Hang in there and feel better sooner than soon.

I am so sorry and it worries me. A headache that goes on that long, sounds kind of dangerous to me unless it is related to the flu or severe allergies or medication reactions. Keep looking for a doctor that will help you, a specialist. AND I will pray for you, my friend. I am sorry you don't feel well. emoticon PLEASE keep us posted. I do want to know what's happening. Love, Chelsea emoticon
