I ate squid!

Monday, February 11, 2013

And I didn't die! Although I think I only managed it by convincing my brain that it was actually really thin chicken. Once the bf had removed any trace of tentacle from my plate, ugh. Two people have told me that the tentacles are the best bit but I couldn't even look at them, never mind put them in my mouth. I get points for eating the rest of it, right?

I can also report that quail eggs are quite tasty, although very fiddly to peel. I do like trying new things.

Tonight I merrily started 30 day shred, giving those jumping jacks all I've got. It was about 4 minutes in I realised my muscles are actually really very sore. I'm supposed to run tomorrow but it may be a hobble instead.

Oh well, I need to get to bed. I'm having a visit from my Mum tomorrow!

Calamari is one of my faves! Trying new things is the best :)
I've loved the shred so far. Good luck and keep it up!

You still get the points for eating the flat parts! I am a tentacle person myself. I'm so going to have to hunt down quail eggs to give those a try.

Good for you Olivia,,, one of my new years resolutions is to try 6 new things this year....... I have tried squid but it is not my favorite,,, calamari in San Francisco was delicious but then there was wonderful dipping sauce for it...... Love it that you are adventurous ... isn't that what makes life rich?

Congrats on starting your 30 day shred! Yikes,,, I admire you! You go!

    Good for you!
I've tried calamari, but that's it. If it's fried and I can't tell what it is, I'm much more likely to eat it... hmmm I suppose that's one of the reasons I needed SparkPeople in the first place.
But you are awesome for trying lots of new things!
