I am sorry to state that the first week of February has been a complete failure for me on the goals front.
I gained over a pound, and I exercised once. ONCE - for the whole week!
I looked into the yoga classes for my LivingSocial deal, but I haven't actually made it to the studio yet. I'm doing well with lowering my dairy servings, but cutting the grains at times has been difficult. (Counting corn as a grain, and I have been on a popcorn tear lately!)
In my defense, despite a cycle of antibiotics (+vaporizer+neti pot) and lowering the dairy, my sinuses are still killing me. The pain in my face and the headaches are insane. Despite being a chronic sufferer, Iíve never experienced an episode like this in my life. On top of that, my joint pain and fatigue is really getting the best of me lately. I havenít even been using my standing desk much (and usually I am good for like 6-7 hours a day).
In short, I feel very tired, swollen, achy, and bloated. And it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
I don't want to make excuses, and I know I need to get back on the wagon, but I am going to need a new approach. At least for the short term. I'll need to be hyper-vigilant about my diet because eating good foods will only help me heal. Bad foods make me feel even worse, and more sluggish. I've got to get some replacement for the grains/carbs (especially at night) FOR SURE. As for exercise, I am going to take it easy till I feel better but I am definitely craving some yoga. (PS - I read that shoulder stand and plow pose are both good for sinuses. :))
