Week 2 Challenge

If you are regularly exercising, your challenge is to do 10 extra minutes of fitness, whether it be cardio, strength training, yoga, Pilates, stretching, etc. For each day you add an extra 10 minutes to your fitness routine, earn yourself 10 points, for a total of up to 70 points for the week.
Then there is the bonus challenge: Planning
Being healthy and changing habits take time, effort, and planning. The bonus challenge is to look ahead to NEXT week (week 3 of the challenge) and plan. Plan meals and snacks, plan time (for exercise, cooking, family, grocery shopping), scheduling, events, and appointments. Make a grocery list to avoid all that extra food buying. For each day you spend 10 minutes planning for next week, earn 10 bonus challenge points, for a total of 70 bonus points for the week.
Ok so this challenge comes at a great time for me. I have this awful feeling I will begin to plateau soon. So getting in the extra 10 minutes of something on my 3-4 days of working out will be key. I also think that the bonus challenge will help me achieve this goal. By my planning not only for this week, but for next week as well I will be able to get in those extra 10 minutes. I also have a new Hungry Girl cookbook that I've been dying to dig into and try some recipes so I will definitely be planning my food for this and next week. There is a recipe for Red Velvet Pancakes that are under 300 cal per serving and have 21 grams of freaking protein!
I think this is a very important piece to the puzzle when it comes to losing weight. It will give me a chance to incorporate VARIETY into my routine. In both food and exercise. It's absolutely where I have failed in the past. If I want to continue to see results and have this feeling of pride then I need to constantly keep my body guessing and working hard to keep my metabolism guessing!
