Ready For The Weekend

Whew! I tell you what; these six day work weeks can be long and grueling. So glad that tomorrow is Friday.

I ended The Week That Doesn't Count 1.6 pounds lighter! I'm officially in the 180s and I'm super excited about it! It's the tiny little achievement that I needed for inspiration. I have been doing really good with my food the last three or four days and staying under 1300 calories. I think when my weekend rolls around I'm going to have a high calorie day (with healthy choices, of course!) and try a little bit of cycling. Besides what week this is, I splurged the day before I started staying low on the calories and think that was a big factor.

I also added some "protein weight loss shakes" to my diet, which is basically lower calorie protein shakes with some good nutritional stats. One day I substituted two meals for shakes because I was busy (then pigged out on sushi!), and for the rest I had one for breakfast as soon as I got up instead of a few hours after. I think that's helped me a lot too. I think I'm definitely going to scope out some other protein shake options and see what else I can find out.

The other dietary changes I made was drinking a cup of oolong tea and a cup of green chai before work everyday and having a 100 calorie snack between lunch and dinner at work. It's delicious and for some reasons I haven't bothered to research good for you. Haha. Hey whatever works, right? The little sprig of caffeine is great too, considering I've pretty much given up 99% of my soda consumption.

Even though my weekend is finally at hand, it's going to be jam-packed. Wednesday I have to take my mother to day surgery at the hospital that could potentially take all day, then follow that up by helping some dear friends pack for their move to Portland next week. Thursday I plan on going to a Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit at a local art museum and have dinner with a friend on the complete opposite side of town. Haha this will be like the bazillionth week in a row I haven't had one of those days where you lounge around the house in pajamas and do nothing but read and watch movies all day. Haha those days can be therapeutic. I'm sure I'll survive either way.

Haha I sort of wish it wasn't too late to call in sick to work tonight. That's not very productive thinking, though. Hopefully the day will pass quickly and without incident. I'm kind of jumpy now that I've been cleared to answer phones; my last customer service job really ruined me on that.
