The show started with an overweight female who was asked to keep a a food diary and she also kept a video of herself. She was supposed to stay within a 2,000 calorie range .She was always wondering why she hadn't lost weight. She ate healthy fruit for breakfast and recorded everything carefully. The experiment showed she was way over on her fruit portion sizes for breakfast. And there was always a little bit here and there she did not record. She was eating 3,000 calories . Thus she stayed overweight.
They also did an experiment with three groups over time . One at a high carb breakfast, One a high fat and one a high protein. The group who ate a higher protein breakfast stayed fuller longer.
What I learned on the third experiment I didn't know. they had some people drink water with their meal and some the water was blended in a blender with the meal. The group with the water blended in stayed fuller longer.
Three lessons learned.
1. Be true to myself with my food record.
2. The importance of protein in my diet.
3. The importance of water in my diet.
