If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you.

In looking back at my blog entries from long ago, I realized something. I was working out all wrong back in the day. I LOVED strength training, and I even loved the elliptical. I think I focused more on ST, because I felt like it made me strong. I have never been one of these women to stay on the elliptical for an hour, it's not necessary. I never really increased my speed on it, I just stayed where I was comfortable. I just read something last night that said, "If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you." Well, it didn't change me at all. Yes, it helped me lose weight, but it sure didn't get me down to my 20-23% body fat that I wanted to be at. Even at 130lbs I was at 28% body fat. I'm at 30% now, and I'm 30 lbs heavier. I guess this is all about learning experiences. Now that I know, I am embracing cardio with a vegence! I'm just glad I found something that I totally look forward to doing!

    Good for you. I enjoy strength training so much more then the treadmill, but you have motivated me to get this fluffy butt on it. LOL have a great day
