I've vowed to run at least 13 races this year.
The first one, Love the run you're with was yesterday. 1 down. 12 to go!
Actually, I'd love it if I did more than 13. I've made a list of races I want to do, and it's 18 long. So I'm thinking I'll just pace it out, and see what happens!
Yesterday's race time was not good. I finished the race in just over 40 minutes, which puts me at a 13 minute mile, and according to sparkpeople, is just WALKING. Bleah.
But I feel okay about it- I only have room to improve, right?
Granted, with the weather, I haven't been putting the distance on my pedometer that I was in November- so we can also think about this as a wake-up call. One that says "Get back to running, girl!"
I'm signed up for two in March, another 5k and a 4 miler. I am going to ramp up my distance running in the next three weeks so I can do the 4 miler.
Here's my exercise plan for the next few weeks:
Monday- run 2 miles
Tuesday- abs and arms strength training, Zumba
Wednesday- run 3 miles
Thursday- abs and arms strength training, Zumba
Friday- run 4 miles
Sunday- walk/ rest
