I can't recommend the way I eat to anyone. I'm not a 'normal' previously overweight person if there is one. I remember the shock of the other people at WW when I talked about that I can forgot to eat. I told them that I can realize it's nine o'clock at night and I haven't eaten anything all day. Well, now it's three or four in the afternoon some days. I can't eat at night anymore with my IBS. The rare times that I eat too much at night, I get violently ill. Something I want to avoid obviously.

I'm usually good about breakfast. I try to eat lunch before three. Many days, I don't manage until four or five since I'm out and I rather eat at home. That can cause problems since eating at night is dangerous for me. I have to get two meals in me before eight at the latest nine. Due to this, I need to eat about thirteen hundred calories in two meals fairly close together. I need the food to be calorie dense to manage that and not get ill.

I estimate that I need at least sixteen hundred calories a day to maintain my weight. I eat a lot of granola. I use full fat salad dressing. When I eat sweets, I eat the whole fat version. The previous week, I had a slice of pie everyday for a week so could eat the whole pie. I usually buy individual slices. Eating a slice a day for a week is something I don't want to repeat for a long time; that was a lot of pie.

My calorie breakdown is about thirty percent fat, twenty percent protein and fifty percent carbohydrates on the day that I eat enough protein. I have trouble getting the minimum of sixty grams as recommended by SP. I gave myself a goal of 45 when I started SP which I managed to meet most of the time. I now have the minimum set at 50 and I can meet it most days. Yesterday, I ate 49 grams of protein according to my nutrition tracker. The day before was eighty grams so that day and I had a diet that was twenty percent protein - a good goal. Yesterday, I ate only 9.8 percent of my calories as protein. The rest was 42.1 fat and 48.2 carbohydrates. Then, I went over my fat gram range for the day and slightly over my calorie range.

Boy, that was a boring post.

    I don't count micronutrients because math makes my head hurt. emoticon I am sure it is a blessing and a curse to have to eat full fat, dense meals. Have you tried incorporating one extra meal? I am sure you have since you have struggled with this for a while. As long as you are maintaining your loss and not getting sick, I say stick with it.

    Wow, that 50,30,20 breakdown is exactly what has been suggested for me.
    I also have trouble getting enough protein. I started making the peanut butter fudge protein bars from a SP recipe and that's helped a lot.
    At least I'm keeping protein close to 100g and carbs under 200g.
    Fat is never a problem for me to find. It's everywhere.

    I've got to say that "forgetting to eat" doesn't ever to me.
