Laughing at Love

Monday, February 11, 2013

We cannot really love anybody with whom we never laugh." Agnes Repplier

I admit to being a very serious person. Oldest of five children, forced as a young teenager to mother them all . When I was first married my husband was quite the partyier and would throw money out the windows with glee, and a lot of it. Somebody had to be responsible , and serious and since I was good at it ,me again.

I never have had a good sense of humor , I should say that I don't think most comedians are funny. I see nothing funny with swear words,or stupid comedy, the stooges or Jim Carey. I do think the guy with all the puppets is really funny, and I loved the movie mouse hunt that was the best ever, and I really love Sheldon from the Bing Bang theory and I do think I can be funny at times.

I am an expert at sarcasm and will make the whole doctors office laugh in hysterics ,over my latest ailment. I love to poke fun at me all the time I rarely laugh at people. All though my husband thin long hair in only some places on his head has been a lasting amusement for us both.

To live and love is to laugh . It is so important for us and our soul. I am slowly learning that there is a time to be serious and a time to laugh. If you want to win someone over to your side do it with laughter. This works for arguments too. Once in a very heated battle with my husband I yelled at the top of my lungs I love you too you stupid______. lol that got us both in hysterics and it is how we end a lot of our arguments now with love and laughter.

Get more laughter in your life it is good for all the cells in your body , your soul and it may help you to lose some weight. Love yourself laugh often and hard. Live love and laugh.

I have to agree that we need to laugh. Good for the
soul and helps to clear the mind.

That was the best part of my marriage - we laughed all the time!
I still laugh a lot. My whole family laughs a lot! It's cathartic!

Laughter is like jogging for your insides. Do it often! Scientific studies have found that people who can make light of even the darkest situations are healthier and live longer.

I agree, I find cussing comedians offensive and won't watch them. But I give the rest of them at least a first look. Gotta keep that laugh tank full! emoticon

Thanks goodness we all have a different sense of humor.
I, too, was very serious when we first married but have
learned to go with the flow and slip a one-liner in there
that makes the whole room roar. Enjoy your life and
the love of your life. Laugh often, my friend!
