When I started this journey, I was buying a size 4X scrub tops. There are some places out there that carry cute scrub tops in larger sizes, but not a lot. Added to that, they are expensive. I can remember looking at scrub tops at Wal-Mart and longing to buy them (they have some of the CUTEST holiday tops and they are cheap) but their biggest size (a 3X) was way too small). I could wear a 3X in some brands, but apparently Wal-Mart scrub tops run a little on the small side as I couldn't even get them over my shoulders.

My Mom, ever my champion, called me tonight and asked me to stop over "for a minute." In Mom Speak this means "I'm up to something." I went to her house having NO idea what she was up to this time. Turns out she had found some Valentine's Day scrub tops at Wal-Mart that she thought I needed. In a size 2X. I was devastated. I said "Mom, these will never fit. I can't even get into a 3X." "Just try them," she said. I was so frustrated as I grabbed the first shirt and yanked it over my head. That is until I realized it fit. Not only did it fit, it was a little on the baggy side. My ever so smart Mom stood there grinning at me as I stood there speechless.

Another small victory for me.

Eventually my brain will catch up to my body.
