Nutrition Challenge- Day 6 & 7
Sunday, February 10, 2013
Nutrition is still going great. Not much to report. Tonight I made shrimp stir-fry from the frozen section of Trader Joe's along with Sunshine Sauce (paleo peanut sauce) from the cookbook Well Fed. Um. Holy crap. It took 5 minutes to make and was one of the most delicious things I've ever put in my mouth. I can't stop thinking about it. I'm already planning on getting some stir fry veggies and shrimp tomorrow to make it again.
I've been a CF machine!
1000 M row
50 thrusters (Rx, 33#)
30 pull-ups (purple band)
Time: 10:52. The pull-ups were tough. I was only getting 3-4 at a time after my first run. I had a red band nearby for back up, but I'm glad I stuck to just purple.
Oly class! We did snatch drops, hang snatch, and snatch pulls.
Open gym. I did back squat triples up to 153# then the WOD for the day.
400 M row
21 KB swings (Rx 35#)
12 pull-ups (purple band)
Once again, the pull ups were what slowed me down. I did all the KB swings unbroken. The pull ups were 3-4 at a time. I was at our second location (there was a cert going on at my usual location) and their pull up bar is super thick. Everyone I talked to that usually goes to my gym said they can't do as many pull-ups on the bar there, so it's not just me. I'm just not used to it, but I'm glad I stuck with the purple band again.
My goal for this week is to go to Oly class once and open gym on Wednesday night after class. Our third location opens on Friday and there is a workout/potluck there on Saturday. I need to figure out what I'm going to bring...
