There are some days I really do have to tell myself these same words. Amazing how years of feeling "not good enough" come back so easily!
A good day at church this week. Things went more smoothly again for us regarding our decision to remove dd from the 5th grade activities and thankfully the Children's Director did the right thing today and had a conversation with her about "life" instead of "Sunday School." Maegann needs more of those moments so she can move on from being fearful about this person always harping on what she isn't doing within the children's department. Worship was great too. We had a bluegrass band lead worship and the two lead people had met playing for Franklin Graham events and eventually got together. Individually they have also played for people like Charlie Daniels and Brooks & Dunn! Amazingly talented on the guitar and fiddle! The sermon on the prodigal son was good too. We focused more on the brother who was angry about the party though.
Once home I took a 90 minute nap. I was just worn out from Saturday! Then I worked on the craft for music class tomorrow at co-op (heart guitars) and then it was time to head to bible quizzing. After dinner the hubby and I got more apples and bananas in the dehydrator as we're overflowing with fruit right now. Next I did some co-op emails and finally sparking.
Tomorrow will be co-op and then dinner out with Isaac for Valentine's Day. We typically go to Smoky Mountain Pizza as they have gluten-free options. Tim is taking Maegann (they are going with one her friends and her dad) to dinner, arcade fun and ice cream.
WEIGHING & MEASURING CHALLENGE - DAY 9
Well, this one is definitely a good challenge as I'm still being a slow starter. The good news is I'm not beating myself up about it.... I'm doing the best I can and keeping it at the forefront with this blog. Actually yesterday was birthday party and I had a hamburger with veggies and some chips. The cake and ice cream I didn't weigh and measure. Tomorrow won't be much for W&M either. I've got my wrap for lunch and will be going out for dinner.
And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it.... (Isaiah 30:21)
Trust in Him. Remember this: each time we disobey God, it becomes more difficult to hear Him the next time He speaks; but every time we trust Him, it gets easier to hear and be led by his Spirit. What is God saying to you today?
