More than once during this process my husband has turned to me and said "You know, this process [the SP diet] is pretty easy." And it is, to an extent. It's not to say that the temptations aren't there (chocolate, I'm looking at you); but we're allowed to have what we're craving--nothing is off limits; it's just a matter of moderating yourself. My biggest downfall is the nighttime cravings/snacking of aforesaid chocolate and other bad things. It's hard to have one or two pieces and say no more, but I'm getting better at it.
This weekend we had dinner parties and access to lots of goodies, and I'm proud to say that both of us sampled a lot, but overindulged in none. I'm happy that SP allows us to LIVE--we're not limited to pre-packaged foods and can enjoy delicious treats. It definitely changes the way we think about "dieting".
