What blizzard?

Sunday, February 10, 2013

When I got up this morning, I was beginning to think the forecast
was way off. The snow started later than expected and it was very
heavy, wet snow. If this is going to blow anywhere, I want to see
it happen. We went to church and coffee, then came home. I
shoveled the sidewalk here, drove down to shovel by the office
and came home to shovel all over again. It just kept snowing,
big, fat clumps of flakes. I decided to wait it out. Then the
snow stopped and the day was perfectly calm. Just after lunch,
the wind picked up and the light granular snow came with it.
Now this is the stuff that will cause zero visibility. The wind
is pretty forceful out there tonight and school is starting 2
hours late, at last report.
DH and I stayed busy, baking bread and 2 chocolate pies. Our
neighbors came over for oyster stew and brought potato soup.
I made meatloaf as well so DS could take the leftovers for lunch
at work this week. We had a very pleasant meal, sent pie and
bread home with the neighbor, bread for DD and both of the
boys, bread for DS3's godmother at school. One loaf left-just
right for us the rest of the week.
I may be rethinking the walk to work tomorrow. I'll see
how it looks in the morning. Stay warm, stay dry and stay
safe. HUGS!

Hope you ended up not getting too much! It has been warm here and rainy and I have been out shoveling piles of snow to different places so it melts faster... emoticon

We ended up with minimal rain here. And that nasty wind. Had it been snow, it would have spelled blizzard, even with minimal flakes.

Sounds like you made a great day, no matter the weather. Spark on!

I hope the blizzard passed you by! The weather forecast changed here also; it's been raining since yesterday afternoon.

I hope your Monday is an uneventful one! (Except for the fun events, of course!)

I'm glad we didn't get the blizzard, I would rather be in school now instead of later in May. Thanks for the bread emoticon !!

It was 80 down here today. So hard to even wrap my head around all the nasty weather. Folks were swimming in the pool! Stay warm.
