Kids in CT are safe from the blizzard.

One daughter lost power over night and the family went to stay at her in-laws for 2 nights. Her husband went to their house to check on things and couldn't get in on their road and had to walk in the rest of the way. They live on a culdesac and the road wasn't plowed, so they stayed at the in-laws for the 2nd night. My other daughter lost power for about 5 hours and stayed put. All is ok today. They are expecting rain Monday and that will just add ice on top of the snow. OH! I forgot to tell you, they got 3 feet of snow and the news told them they haven't had that much snow since 1978. Church was canceled for today and they think school will be canceled for Monday. I'm glad I don't ever get that much snow here in KY!!

We used to have snows like that here in KY. I miss them. One year (in the early 80's), school was out for almost 2 months! The last big snow I can remember was in 1998. I have photos of my daughter who was 2 standing next to the drifts that were taller than her. It was a good time.

Snow days are so wonderful you can't go anywhere and no one can come see you so you can have a great day enjoying your own company
One day at a time
