My assignment: If you could go anywhere, where would you go to spend Valentine's Day, what would your meal be and what would you like as a Valentine's Day gift.
I think this could be a difficult assignment for those of us without a significant other. When I have been single, I really paid no attention to Valentine’s Day.
I would go wherever my beloved husband happened to be. If he wanted me to choose a special place, I think I’d like to go to a cozy cabin in the snowy mountains with a big stone fireplace.
The meal doesn’t matter to me very much, I like to eat almost anything (one of my ongoing challenges). This year my DH has chosen pizza for his special birthday/Valentine’s dinner. He knows due to his heart problems he shouldn’t have cheese but we do indulge in real pizza 3 or 4 times a year. Because the actual Day will fall in Lent this year, we will celebrate both on his birthday Tuesday along with Mardi Gras, so I’m sure the meal will include wine and chocolate as well.
For a gift, I prefer jewelry, especially earrings, bracelets, and rings. But I also enjoy flowers.
The most important part of Valentine’s Day for me is that I have time with my DH.
