Since the temperature today was in the 40s, I decided to run outside. I quickly found out that it was not going to be easy. The wind was very strong. There was mud and puddles everywhere. I ended up walking half (?) of the trail around the lake instead of running. I am celebrating the fact that I did it, but am quite concerned about next Saturday. It is my first 5K run and the temperatures are promising to be in the high 20s. If I could barely run today, how will I be able to do it in much lower temperatures?
After my run, I stopped by the grocery store and bought some healthy foods to try like quinoa and flax meal. Oh, and spaghetti squash. Also picked up small package of funny looking miracle noodles. They do look weird indeed. Time to experiment!
