Fasting 5.3 this morning and after lunch which was a high fat meal was 6.1. Nice change from the 4's I've been having.
I was feeling fabulous this morning and have planned a week of healthy menus and done a lot of fresh fruit and veggie shopping. I came home and was a little overwhelmed with how much I have bought as there were some specials and I deviated from my list, but with guests there will be 7 of us each night and I'm sure it will gone by the end of the week. I was quite delighted because the YIG had my favourite red lentil pasta! And cheaper! I got all they had as it is a perfect food for me and GF as well. Kind of goes against the paleo cookbook I picked up, lol. But hey, paleo looks great for our family with a few added grains. We don't eat much dairy anyways. I don't think there is a recipe in there that we would not eat and it is crock pot based which I already love. Kind of have to see if there are hidden "preparation times" or "prepared foods" that we can't get here. DD wants to cook and asked what we can and can't eat so it will be great to hand her the book and see what she does with it.
I'm now a little tired and not surprised after the lunch I chose which included fries and more carbs than I usually have at one sitting. Guests will be here soon so I am going to sit and have a tea and read a book before exercising. I intend to do some ST today and then will go in the pool with the guests, but think sitting for a while is a really good plan. It is so nice out. Just sitting in the sunshine has healing properties mid winter. I think we only got a little over a foot of snow with that last storm although there were a lot of drifts with the wind. Today is blue sky and I think the high is plus three. Glorious after the biting weather we've had. I'll be taking my BS before dinner and before bed to see if I should have a bedtime snack.
