Wow... I can't believe how the time flies!!
This week's challenges included-
Trying a new fruit
I tried Uniq fruit (also known as Ugli fruit). It looked like a nasty orange, but it tasted just fine. I didn't like it as much as an orange, however, so I won't be buying again (costs a lot more than oranges).
Trying a new veggie
I tried butternut squash. I used it as a replacement for the sweet potato fries that I regularly make. I had mixed feelings about it. It almost had a bitter taste to it, so I don't know if I got a bad squash or if it would be better cooking it a different way. I bought 2, so I'm going to give it a shot another way and see if I like it better. I felt like it had potential.
Learning about overtraining.
I read the articles on SP, which just reinforced what I already knew: I am definitely not overtraining!
Create a visual motivator and blog about it.
I took pictures of the two visual motivators that I have and posted them in a blog.
And last, but certainly not least, write a story about your background with weight loss and blog about it.
I did this, and was kind of surprised by the fact that several bad things just kind of poured out. There was some definite relief to come out and acknowledge how some of these things have affected my relationship with food, but I was also anxious about having posted it. However, I received amazing support from several wonderful SparkFriends and I truly appreciate them all!!
On to week 4 and being 1 week closer to my goals!!
