Time to get back on track

Sunday, February 10, 2013

Yep, time to get back to eating light and healthy. Up two and a half pounds from goal weight of 110 after two days of eating out. We went to a friend's birthday party last night. He is a friend whom we have known since we lived in the Seattle area. We helped "coach" he and his wife on how to move here to Mexico. His wife was unhappy and decided to leave him, divorce him and move to Boise Idaho. Believe it or not, she wanted 4 seasons. It was a very amicable divorce and actually better for both. Our friend Greg(pictured here) met a Mexican woman who is a professional and awesome! We love her and it looks like they will marry.

Anyway, I didn't think I really overate yesterday, but the scale says I did so will get right back on track today. At least I hope my DH will be okay with hanging out at home. It's just so much easier here in Mexico to eat at home if you want to eat right. Going out and having even fish is not so healthy here in Mexico as they use a lot of the bad vegetable oil for cooking and such. I am not worried though if DH wants to go look for something to do, I will just start tomorrow. The good news is that I always know that I will get back on track. That is the one nice thing about me now is that I finally get it! I know that I am in control and can get back on track.

I hope all my sparks buddies are doing great. I hope for those in the path of the storm I am seeing on CNN that you are warm and safe.
Have a terrific day.
Sallie

Great pictures. Glad you had a good time. Do you like ceviche? I am sure there is a variety of ceviche served in the area you are. They are never prepared with any oil. I have seen many methods and recipes used for every kind of ceviche and none use oil. It is worth a try for when you don't want to waste a splurge meal while out ;-)

Great pictures as usual. One man's pleasure is another 's poison. Don't think I will ever understand people's need or desire for 4 seasons. Some of the favorite places that you like to eat, you should introduce them to coconut oil.

Know you do a good job of staying in control of the scales. Have a great Sunday.

Yes that is where I am ..above goal and needing to get down. Good luck. It is good not to panic and believe in yourself.

That old scale is sneaky...but you seem to have a level head and know what to do.
You are very positive and that helps so much. Kick those pounds to the curb and glad you had fun. I always wondered what it would be like in Mexico. Hubby was a truck driver so we have been there a few times. He is disabled now but we had fun. Just on a truck you never really have time to stop and enjoy anything. Its a good thing I love the scenery . Have a great week and keep going.

Sounds like you have everything under control. I'm glad you are not upset by a minor bump in the road. I know you can do it! (Sometimes we just have to let go and "live it up" a little.) I'm glad you had fun!!

Sallie, my nephew moved from Hawaii to Idaho because he liked the change in seasons too after growing up in Upstate NY and his wife from Virginia. They love it there and the cost of living doesn't hurt either.

It may not be how much you ate but what you ate...A trigger food even in small quantities can add the pounds fast.
