February 10, 2013 TOP PRIORITY

When we get tired from all the busyness in life. It may be because we are trying to do too much. There will be times when we need to hand off some things to others. There will be times when we need to just stop doing some things. There will be times we need to change how or when we do things. What we need to do, however, every day is give our day to God. We need to make Him top priority so He can plan our day for us and allow us to do what He wants done.

Deuteronomy 28:13 “If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we give today to You. We trust You. We put our hope in You today. Help us to know what You want us to do today so that what we do is totally Your will and not our own. We give you top priority in our lives and seek Your guidance and direction to make this day Your day. Thank You, Lord, for allowing us to serve You and to help others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God wants to be first in all we do. We can begin today to put Him first in our lives.

When we listen to and obey God, He will help us to succeed in what He wants us to do.

Putting God first in our lives will help life to make more sense. We will feel less stressed and more focused. God wants us to put Him first in all we do.

Deuteronomy 6:17-18a “You must diligently obey the commands of the LORD your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you. Do what is right and good in the LORD’s sight, so all will go well with you.” (NLT)

1 John 3:24 “Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.” (NLT)
