Daily Food Journal February 10th, 2013

Sunday, February 10, 2013

First, I'm really annoyed because all the other stuff that I spent typing just disappeared.... my Sparkpage reloaded I guess... *sigh*... But beside that, I read an article that was talking about keeping a food journal. I guess in my mind I figured a food journal was just keeping track of calories, carbs, etc. But I never thought of also tracking the emotion behind my eating. So I'm going to attempt to keep a food journal on my blog to see if I can figure out my snacking and weight loss stagnation.

Today i have yet to eat anything, granted it is 8:30 and I've only been up since 8:00, but I know that in general I'm just not as hungary on weekends as I am during the week. During the week I wake up and my body is starving for food which is something else to explore.

I am trying to decide what to eat, although with it being grocery day, the options are limited. I think I'm going to have a bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats. Thats:

118 calories, 2 grams of protein, 25 carbs, 2 grams of fat, and 1 gram of fiber, and 2 WW points

and also half a serving of milk:

43 calories, 4.2 grams of protein, 6 carbs, 0 fat, 0 fiber, and 1 WW point

My mind is going two different directions on this one... in one way I'm mad at myself because of the 30 net carbs, but I also know that going to the grocery store will burn it all off and technically it's only 3 WW points.

Tonight, my husband is taking me to get crab legs for my birthday dinner, which I'm really excited about, so I also need to watch what I eat the rest of the day in order to make myself not feel guilty. Although, from what I can tell, there are no carbs in crab legs :) But I will still want beer or something to go with it. I'll just need to make sure it's something like Miller Lite which has a good balance of taste (in my opinion) and low carbs and low calories.

I also need to make sure to take leftover chips and stuff from our super bowl party to school (I work in a school) so that I am not tempted by tostitos and potato chips anymore.

I'll probably need to update throughout the day with what I eat in order to make this work. So we shall see.
