Pretty awesome day today.
Work was hectic. Someone overscheduled our tests and instruction time, but fortunately we had an extra body to take care of my students so I could finish up the test. My tester walked in with a typical bad middle school attitude about having to be there and walked out with a smile on her face. Partially because she just really likes taking standardized tests and partly because we found a motivation that worked for her. Moments like that, where not only is the parent happy, but the student is to, is what I strive for...and it is so hard to achieve.
Just as I was finishing up work, it started snowing. Yay! It's been unseasonably warm around here for a few weeks and I was starting to get a little worried that we wouldn't have the snow pack needed for summer.
When I get home, hubby proclaimed it date night: Chinese food and a movie! Sweet! Saturday is my "I don't care" day anyway. Too hard with the different work schedule to stick to my plan. Easier to just blow the calories and even it out for the week. Went and saw Identity Thief. Funny stuff.
All in all a great end to my week. Now to spend tomorrow getting things done!
