Winter 5% Challenge Assignment #5 & 6 Tricks & Excuses / Reasons

Trying to catch up here:

What works best for me my little trick is using a salad plate for my meals once you weigh and measure your food portion size seems really - really small on a dinner plate So I have been using a salad plate for years now except for the holiday meals Thanks Giving & Christmas and Easter

Reasons / excuses on why my diets and exercise plans have not been well executed in the past. This was answered back in September 2012 same 2 reasons In the past I always went on this journey because someone else was forcing me to do so it never was for ME and I am the most important reason to do this It was to done to be accepted and loved by someone else.

Once I got to goal weight I went back to my old ways I thought this journey had an end date healthy life style has no end date this is a never ending journey I'm in it now for the rest of my life

A new excuse is I don't have the time which in all reality isn't 100% true I just don't have the hours available I prefer to hit the gym at I'm working longer hours so I need ot make adjustment in my gym time. Just be more flexible

No more excuses !

    I still struggle with my old ways. Those ways plus excuses always seem to tag team me, then I get into this negative thinking that says "this is too hard" ....I've got to do better.....

    I too have been using a salad plate for meals, and I do believe it help with portion control. I also weigh my food on it which is great.

Maybe you can do some Spark videos for fitness when you work long hours. I know that no one feels like going to the gym after a long day at work. Pixie on the Progress Not Perfection team has lost a lot of her weight doing yoga. That also helps to relax the mind and body together. Perhaps you could try some of the Yoga on Spark. On the days and weekends you can, head out to the gym. Try thinking outside of the box to help you figure out something that works for you.

    I am sorry you are still working the long hours and losing gym time. I know how frustrating that is.

I hope you find a way to work around your current schedule. I skiiped the gym yesterday and really need to go today.

You are right about doing it for yourself and no one else.

    You are so right about this, you have to want for yourself... And "your desire must be stronger then stay the same." I also posted my #6 blog about this topic. We are considered lucky enough to realized this fact and love ourselves enough to keep moving on for our health journey. Way to go !! for us and we can do this !!
