Tempur-Pedic or Sleep Number

Saturday, February 09, 2013

We need to get a new bed this year and since sleep is critical we are willing to spend some money and getting a really good bed, just don't know which one.

So if someone out there has one of these, let me know if you like it and any pros and/or cons.

I have a Sleep Number, and love it, love it, love it. To save a little cash, test it out in the store, then order online, it's a piece of cake to set up, it will save you a couple hundred dollars. And it can be used on top of a regular box spring, so that can save you a bundle if you only by the mattress. Let me know which one you select.

I've heard good things about Sleep Number. I do wonder about chemicals in the foam ones but have not researched it.

We bought a Serta when Sears was having a mattress and box spring sale. It helped, but still some back and hip pain in areas.

I bought a sleep number bed about a year and a half ago. The very BEST sleep and best mattress I've ever had in my life!! I have a friend who has a sleep number she's had for about 10 years now and she still loves hers too.

I've had a lot of mattresses in my 74 years and this sleep number is the very best mattress I've ever had. emoticon

We went with a latex foam. It doesn't sleep "hot" like Tempurpedic type beds are reputed to and it still is somewhat conforming yet firm and no springs. Our brand is Prana from City Mattress (IDK if they are local or not) and we love it! Have had it several years now and still love it!
