Survived the Storm

Saturday, February 09, 2013

We stayed an extra day in Boston with our daughter, SIL and baby Rebecca. TC and SIL shoveled 24" of snow out of the driveway this morning -- there were drifts of 34 inches!

They lifted the travel ban so we will leave tomorrow for Michigan.

I haven't been getting much exercise and my eating has just been "ok". My daughter doesn't have a food scale OR a bathroom scale, for that matter! I will eat well at my mom's because she's VERY health conscious and I've told her not to make anything special for us.

Then, when we get back home in another week, we'll be hitting the diet and exercise HARD! We've got a lot of work to do before we are ready to hike the Appalachian Trail in May.

I felt so fortunate to be able to go to Rebecca's two-week checkup with my daughter. She gained 8 ounces last week, so is now 5 pounds 7 ounces! Still a tiny little thing, but perfect and healthy in every way. It's been such a joy to spend this week with her!

she is so tiny. So glad you got to be with her. I wasn with any of my 5 grandchildren when they were that young. Glad you survived the storm. That was lots of snow there.

What a cutie to be stormed in with! What a help with shoveling snow -- especially on new-baby-sleep-deprivation. Glad it turned out more inconvenience than safety risk. (and glad to have figured out to fix my new blog notices).

Oh Rebecca doesn't seem to like being strapped in. What a cutie! Of course she is thriving due to being surrounded by her loving family.
I can only imagine that Rebecca was more of your focus than food and exercise.
I bet you have already planned your return trip in warmer weather.

They are so small at that age! How blessed you are to be able to spend time with her and her parents so soon.

Have a good trip back. My days of being ahead of you in step count on the fitbit are numbered. You amaze me when you are working out - you run rings around me every time!!
