I think that today I need to talk about my FitBit. I have wanted one for a long time but I just didn't feel like we should spend the money on something like that. Then my husband's employer provided him a free one. Free! How lucky was that? He asked if he could get one for me too at a discounted rate. We didn't get one from them, but as it turns out, we ended up getting the FitBit Ultra (the previous model) on sale (since it is being phased out), and we also had some awesome coupons to use at the particular retailer from whom we got it, so I got a great price on one. I got it in early January and immediately put it to use. I just love it and I use it each and every day. It tracks my steps, distance, sleep and activity levels. But one day I noticed that part of it seemed to have "melted" off. Hmmmm. And the contacts (where it connects to the charger) appeared to be messed up. I am not really a sweaty person but it looked like I had sweated and melted it or something weird! Then later I noticed that the display was messed up and I couldn't read the screen too well. Of course it is under warranty so my husband contacted them. Let me tell you, this place has awesome customer service. I was so impressed. First they gave us a couple of suggestions (like let it sit in rice overnight because if it still had moisture in it that would dry it out, and they had us reset it too). I had it less than 30 days so could have returned it to the retailer, but within a few days FitBit sent me a brand new one - of the current model, not the old one like I had! I am very happy with their customer service and I am thrilled to have the newer model because it is sweat and water resistant! My goal is to walk at least 10,000 steps each day and this little decide is helping me track that. Awesome!
