Headache report

I shoveled for two hours yesterday, and then, because I was feeling antsy, I did 50 minutes of circuit training. (also, I sort of enjoy circuit training). It felt good and helped the anxiety melt away. I've had to get creative about healthy ways to make anxiety subside, and have been pretty successful with exercise being one of the most effective tools.

This morning, I awoke with a band of pain around my entire head that could only be described as the feeling one might have when an elephant has sat on one's head. Argh.
My reward for all of that shoulder work yesterday. Argh 2.0.

I got to work using my usual headache arsenal - heating pad, caffeine, massage chair, laying on a tennis ball, Ibuprofen, drinking lots of water...and six hours later, the headache is all but cleared with only a shadow at the top of my forehead. emoticon

Just thought I'd share...sigh.

    If you have a sore spot in a muscle - a "trigger point", you can lay on the floor and place a tennis ball under the sore spot (I had several today). After a minute or so, the pressure on the muscle tells it to relax and the pain just melts away. My massage therapist taught me about this. It's a miracle for me.
