Day #230 - Payback

Saturday, February 09, 2013

Okay so I splurged a bit yesterday on my black history month lunch. Yeah, I ate the forbidden coconut walnut cake that beckon my presence. Yes, today I'm paying for it. Headache is a brewing. Why? Why do I put myself in these predicaments all for food? I don't know but that's something I need to change definitely. Me and coconut don't get along but what's so weird is I can eat a almond joy without a problem but not coconut shrimp, apparently coconut cake.... Well to late to start anlyzing just got to do much better.

I did make it to the gym... did a full hour on the treadmill and then a 35 minute workout on elliptical. Got home and did my squats 30, and stretched a bit. I was tired but glad I didn't get lazy. I really had to push my way through this workout and do some self motivation. That's what it's going to take.

Got up this morning and did day #3 of the couch25k and walked an additional 10 minutes for a total of 40 minutes. Did 30 second plank, stretch, lower ab sit ups, butt lifts and several 30 second hold stretches.

Got house work to do today, washing, changing bed linens. Got a headache so right now I'm going to lay my head down so that this headache don't turn into a migraine. So a word of wisdom to myself...don't let food overpower you... you have the control of your life and you have got to start taking control NOW!!!

Who can turn down coconut cake??? I know I couldn't. Food doesn't have as much power over you as you think. You are so consistent with your workout and you eat good most of the time. You have to have those meals that taste better than they actually are for you. You have to or you will not succeed long-term. Your good choices far outweigh your bad. Maybe next time you wont eat as much, but don't rid your life of all things delicious. It isn't worth it.
